It’s hard to believe that the ending of our Fall travel season is fast approaching. I have had the pleasure of visiting schools in Texas as well as the Boston and Cape area this season.
Just a few weeks ago we had our October Open House! If you were unable to attend our October Open House don’t sweat it because we have one coming up on Sunday, November 3rd from 1:00pm-5:00pm. During our Open House you will have an opportunity to meet with our dedicated faculty, admissions and financial aid counselors, coaches from our 20 varsity sports, clubs and organizations, current students, and even tour our beautiful Bristol campus.
Friday, November 1st is our first of two early action application deadlines. If you will not be able to make our Early Action 1 deadline by Friday; please make sure to apply by Friday, November 15th for our Early Action 2 deadline.
I am excited about leaving the road to start reading applications from students I have had the opportunity to meet while on the road. If you have any questions about our application deadlines or requirements please feel free to contact our Undergraduate Admissions office at 800-458-7144 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Hello from RWU Admissions!
Last time I blogged I was busy on the road visiting your high schools and meeting with your guidance counselor!
I happy to say that our last admission representative just finished their travels this week and we are all excited to be back in the office reading our Early Action applicants. It seems like it was just yesterday that the staff was just prepping for the road.
We have received record number of applications for our Early Action applicant pool and our goal is to start mailing out decisions by the week of December 17th 2012. Contact us at 401-254-3500 or email@example.com if you have any questions about your Early Action application.
Beginning December 3rd through March 15th we are changing our campus tour times for Monday-Friday. We will be offering tours at 9:00am and 12:30pm. There are a few exceptions so please visit our campus tour site to register for a tour.
Enjoy your holiday season!

It’s hard to believe that we are already half-way through our travel season. I have had the pleasure of visiting schools in the North and South Shore area of Massachusetts as well as the Boston and Cape area this travel season. Check out “RWU on The Road” to see if an admissions representative will be visiting your school in the near future.
Just a few weeks ago we had our first Fall Open House! If you were unable to attend our September Open House don’t sweat it because we have one coming up on Sunday, October 28th from 9:00am-1:00pm. During our Open House you will have an opportunity to meet with our dedicated faculty, admissions and financial aid counselors, coaches from our 20 varsity sports, clubs and organizations, current students, and even tour our beautiful Bristol campus.
Next weekend is our Homecoming and Family Weekend! This takes place every October and is always well attended by our current students, parents and alums. The weekend includes Athletic Events, Alumni Events, Casino Night, Midnight Madness, Homecoming King and Queen Coronation, Homecoming Luncheon, Family Information Sessions, Saturday Night Comedy Show, Autumn Festival and much more.
I am looking forward to Homecoming because we are going to have our first Athletics Hall of Fame induction ceremony. If you are visiting RWU’s campus this summer, I highly recommend visiting the historic downtown of Bristol. Roger Williams University is located only a few minutes away and you will be pleasantly surprised of what Bristol has to offer. Visit Historic Bristol to learn more about one of New England’s hidden treasures.
If you cannot get enough of the beautiful coastline of Rhode Island I recommend traveling only 30 minutes up the road to Newport, RI.
Newport has its own feel with fine dining, shopping on Thames Street and scenic walking tours of historic mansions. If you feel adventurous you can always make reservations on one of the many sailboats that offer tours of Newport Harbor and Narragansett Bay.
Lastly, when leaving RI and if time allows I recommend visiting Providence, RI. Providence has its own shopping on Thayer Street,Federal Hill for Italian food dining and WaterFire which I always take advantage of over the summer.
PS. Visit our campus visit page to sign up for a student guided campus tour!!

Spring is in the air! Spring is right around the corner and it is an exciting time for the RWU campus community. This past weekend we had a record number of accepted students attend our first accepted student’s weekend of the year. Visit our Facebook page to see some photos of our excited accepted students and their families. The day started with some of our current students addressing the 2016 class informing them about campus life, study abroad, athletics, internship opportunities and simply their experiences at RWU. Our newly accepted students even had the pleasure of hearing from our 10th president, Dr. Donald J. Farish, Ph.D., J.D.
If you are a recent accepted student and have not registered for one of our ASD events please visit the online form. During these events you will have the chance to hear from our deans, faculty, and staff about your academic opportunities, student life, and study abroad to name few. Even go on a student guided campus tour and residence hall tour. These days are designed for you and your families to answer any final questions you might have about Roger Williams University.
While we are nearly at the end of recruiting the Class of 2016, our Undergraduate Admissions Staff is already busy planning and recruiting the Class of 2017. Visit “RWU on the Road” to see if a counselor will be visiting a school or college fair near you.Read More
