10 days left until my first semester of college is over. 10 days. That’s it. I’m not quite sure where the time went, so that must mean I have been enjoying myself. Time flies when you’re having fun, right?? In 10 days I’ll finally go home to New Hampshire and stay for 40… but whose counting? I’m looking forward to a nice break without worrying about due dates and waking up in time to attend my 8 am classes…
All semester I have been wondering why I never have had much work to do. In fact, I will finish off this semester without ever having to write a single paper. Amazing isn’t it? I must just be one of the lucky ones and next semester I’ll most likely be wondering why I ever wished I had work to do. On the bright side, I don’t have Wednesday or Friday classes next semester so I should in theory always have plenty of time to do the work that I may be assigned.
Anyway, I think the reason that I never had any school work to do throughout the semester is because all of my professors were planning on giving us major assignments to do at the end. Either that or coincidentally I just happened to have something major assigned. No pressure though, it’s not like every assignment has a lot of weight on my final grades. 13 days and I have five exams, one group project, 3 applications and a bunch of other stuff to do. I suppose it doesn’t sound like a whole lot to do quantity wise, however every little thing is so time consuming that I’m pretty sure I’m going to have some sleepless nights ahead of me. It doesn’t help that I am the type to strive for perfection in my school work and get upset when I don’t do as well as I had hoped for.
That being said what else would I be doing right now other than sitting typing this blog and watching Shutter Island waiting for my mind to be blown all over again? This movie makes so much sense the second time around! Priorities… clearly know how to keep them straight.
In an hour I am going to see Plastic Musik. I’m SO excited. I watched a Youtube video of them playing “Axel F” and “Get Ur Freak On” with plastic “Boomwhackers” and drums and was amazed by how well it was constructed and how the plastic instruments sounded so similar to the actual songs.
After writing this blog, watching Shutter Island (I watched The Time Traveler’s Wife earlier today) and going to Plastic Musik, I will FINALLY start to do all of my work and probably do a lot of it tomorrow. Happy weekend to me!
