CALI!

With CALI, you get free access to over 700 lessons in 32 legal subject areas.  You can use the relevant lessons during the semester or before finals to help reinforce what you learned in class.  You can access CALI on the internet in addition to using the CD that you received in your orientation packet.  Ask a librarian on duty at the Reference Desk for the School of Law’s authorization code.  For details about using CALI, here is a video from YouTube.

New Extended Saturday Reference Hours!

During the academic year, librarians are available to provide you with reference/research assistance.  They offer explanations of the process of legal research, show you how to use a particular tool or database, make suggestions about research strategy, and assist you in tracking down items which are not on the shelf.

In order to better assist you during the fall semester on the weekends, a librarian will be available for reference assistance from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (except for lunch time) on most Saturdays.  Excluded are the Saturdays of August 30, October 11 and November 29.

Especially for first-year students working on their Legal Methods I assignments, a librarian will provide reference assistance on Sunday, September 28 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Welcome to the RWU School of Law Library!

The School of Law Library staff welcomes our new and returning students.  We wish all our students much success in their academic endeavors.

For first year students, library tours will be held September 2 through September 4.  Students will receive an email attachment containing the schedule of the library tours.  The schedule will be posted on the glass to the left of the entrance to the library on August 25.  The email will also contain details about the tour such as starting location and length.  Questions about the schedule should be directed to Nan Balliot.

Also, LexisNexis and Westlaw training sessions for the first year students will be held on Wednesdays and Thursdays the weeks of September 7, September 14, September 21, and September 28.  More information about the schedule will be forthcoming.

Again, welcome to the RWU School of Law Library!
