Time of Reflection
In the past I have echoed the sentiment that “no one can get anywhere unless you know where you are going;” however, being that one more chapter in my Law School adventure is now closed, I want to further add by saying that “no one can get anywhere unless you know where you have been.” Reflecting on the past not only allows us to assess the challenges of the future, it also allows us to prepare for the future by learning from the shortcomings of the past. In a Law School context, this means: will I have to study more for next semester classes? Am I happy with my performance thus far? Must I improve? What do I really want to do with my Degree? Is there anything I should have or could have done better to further excel? Am I doing my best? Etc.
That being said, I would encourage every Law Student to take sometimes and give a little thoughts to these questions because the earlier you can realize what the future holds for you, the more time you will have to fight for your success. So, get on it now!
I wish you all a happy holiday and a restful vacation.
