Spring Coups for RWU 2L Kim Ahern, Who Wins Top Academic Honor and Election to be Obama Delegate

imageIt is a rare law student who has the time, energy, and focus to be able to balance a demanding educational program, while working tirelessly in public service.  2L Kim Ahern has managed to perform at remarkably high levels in both her studies and in public service.

Last week, the Roger Williams University Law Review announced its Editorial Board for the 2008-09 academic year, and at the top of the masthead will be Kim Ahern, a 2L, who graduated from Providence College in 2006.  Kim is a member of our Honors Program and is a Public Interest Scholar reflecting her dedication to public service both before and during law school.

As if that was not enough good news for one semester, on March 4 Kim was elected to be a delegate to the Democratic National Convention, pledged to Barack Obama, winning the most votes in the Second Congressional District.  Kim campaigned hard for the election, and she now has a chance to participate in making history, regardless of who is the eventual Democratic nominee.
