Mighty Quahogs Make Elite 8 at U VA
In recent years, RWU Law has fielded strong softball teams under the banner of “the Mighty Quahogs,” competing successfully with teams in New England, like winning last fall’s “Battle of Boston.”
The Mighty Qs took their show on the road this past week, competing in the 26th Annual University of Virginia School of Law Softball Tournament. The team, made up of 3Ls John “Johnny Law” Kellerman, Kevin Bransley, and Emmet Donnelly; 2Ls Josh Barker, John Mhyre, Matt Schectman, Dave Chevrie, Bobby Self, Jason Pullman, and Andrew “Buch” Buchetto; and 1Ls Olin Downs and Zach Mandell, defeated the University of Virginia “Orange Team,” Syracuse University, Villanova University, and the Army Jag School. The run ended in the “Elite 8,” falling to the Virginia “Blue” team. Congratulations Mighty Quahogs for a great run this year.
