Shechtman Halperin Savage and RWU Law: A Great Relationship

Previous blog items have highlighted the success of our grads at a top large firm in Rhode Island and at top Boston firms: this item focuses on a successful group of alumni practicing at a leading regional firm Shechtman Halperin Savage, LLP.  Shechtman Halperin is a fast-growing full-service firm with offices in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and New York, and attorneys admitted to practice in every New England state and New York, large enough to achieve economies of scale but small enough to provide clients throughout the Northeast with personalized representation. Their offices are located in a renovated mill in Pawtucket, decorated with wonderful art selected by managing partner Steve Shechtman and his wife Dana.

The firm is proud to count six RWU Law graduates on its team.  Stephen F. DelSesto (’00) practices in such areas as receiverships and insolvencies, creditors’ and debtors’ rights, commercial real estate, zoning and licensing, and commercial and business litigation.  He also has experience with alternative dispute resolution proceedings, and serves as a mediator in civil litigation matters.  Michael P. Robinson (’00) currently focuses his practice on civil litigation, and has experience handling labor and employment disputes, construction and contract disputes, insurance defense, consumer collections, business litigation, and issues involving municipal and educational law.  Victor Shapiro (’04) focuses his practice primarily on the area of creditors’ rights and collection litigation.  Brett Edmunds (’06) practices in the areas of foreclosures and evictions.  Jennifer Maynard (’07) focuses her practice in the area of consumer collections, creditors’ rights, and real estate.  She also is a mediator certified by the Roger Williams School of Law.  The firm’s newest hire, Christina Glass (’08) practices in the areas of receivership and creditors’ rights.

Here are the RWU grads with Steve Shechtman.
