No Big Surprise: RWU Law Public Interest Programs Ranked Second in New England
PreLaw magazine recently crunched the numbers and concluded that RWU Law is a top school for public interest law, ranking second in New England (trailing only Northeastern). The editors evaluated data gathered by Equal Justice Works, a national nonprofit that encourages public interest programs in law schools, that looked at three equally weighted categories: the level of student involvement, the breadth and depth of curriculum, and financial factors. Their conclusion: RWU Law ranked second in New England and 25th nationally. This survey validates the centrality of public interest values to the mission of RWU Law. Through a rich array of curricular and co-curricular opportunities, not to mention a deeply dedicated faculty and staff, RWU Law graduates are well-equipped to enter the profession not just with excellent legal skills, but also a strong sense of commitment to using their training to help the less fortunate.
