Beverly Ledbetter (HDR 2006) Featured in National Law Journal
Being the only law school in the Ocean State means that we have terrific relationships with leading lawyers and judges. One example: Beverly Ledbetter, long-serving General Counsel for nearby Brown University. Beverly regularly opens her office for RWU law students to intern and in her capacity as Vice-President of the Thurgood Marshall Legal Society (the minority lawyer committee of the Rhode Island Bar Association) actively supports mentoring of our students. Because of her distinguished career, and service to our law school, Beverly was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Laws degree at Commencement 2006. Ms. Ledbetter was recently featured in the National Law Journal.
