Mighty Quahogs Roll On
It was a beautiful Saturday, and the ball fields overlooking Narragansett Bay were the setting for the second annual RWU SBA Fall Softball Tournament. Once again the team to beat was the Mighty Quahogs, and once again the MQs marched through the competition and into the championship faceoff with the upstart Ferocious Littlenecks. After the MQs victory, SBA President Carla Walker observed: “they are one mollusk not to be messed with.”
This year saw an expanded roster of teams, and an interstate flavor, as entrants included representatives from New England College of Law, Suffolk, and Western New England. Below is a photo of me with the Quahog co-captains Tim Sullivan and Rob Humm and the captains of the teams from across the border.
