Major Players in National Security and International Law to Conference at RWU
Things are shaping up for a major conference on national security and international law at RWU next fall. Coordinated by RWU Prof. Peter Margulies, an expert in these important areas (click here for a recent law review piece he authored), a terrific collection of experts will convene here on November 8-9.
Among the confirmed participants are Muneer Ahmad (American), Bobby Chesney (Wake Forest), Nina Crimm (St. John’s), Mark Drumbl (Washington & Lee), Laura Dickinson (Connecticut), David Luban (Georgetown), Adrian Vermule (Harvard), Steve Vladeck (Miami), and Ellen Yaroshefsky (Cardozo), plus a couple rising stars from our own faculty, Jared Goldstein (who represents Guantanamo detainees) and Tim Kuhner (who will return from his position as a Visiting Professor at Duke for the program). In addition, there will be representatives from the Department of Justice, NGOs, and a lawyer handling many of the remaining civil claims arising out of 9/11 (RWU Adjunct Professor Don Migliori). I will post again when the program is finalized.
