Judge Bruce Selya and “Selyaisms”
For the last several years, small groups of RWU law students met on a regular basis, learning “The Lessons of Litigation” from one of the top appellate judges in the country, the Honorable Bruce Selya from the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
Those lucky students, plus the many lawyers who have read his opinions, know that Judge Selya is renown not just for his judicial acumen but also his remarkable vocabulary.
