RWU Law to Open Immigration Law Clinic in Providence

I am very pleased to announce the August opening of a new Immigration Law clinic that will work with the burgeoning immigrant population in Rhode Island.  Complementing our Criminal Defense and Mediation Clinics, the new program has been conceived and will be directed by Mary Holper, who ran a similar clinic at Boston College and has other important experience that will enable the clinic to get off to a fast start.

Mary is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Illinois and earned her law degree from BC, where she graduated magna cum laude.  She is committed to helping our upper-level law students learn important lawyering skills while providing quality representation for clients (made easier because she is multi-lingual).  The new clinic is also a terrific companion to the Latino Policy Institute that RWU recently opened, and which is housed in offices immediately adjoining the new clinic.  Read my earlier blog on the LPI and the press release announcing the new clinic.
