Another Record-breaking Performance: RI ’07
The final results are in and the pass rate for RWU first-time takers on the 2007 Rhode Island bar exams was 79%, the highest rate in the history of the School of Law.
This is a remarkable achievement because the Rhode Island is one of the toughest exams in the country: # 45 out of the 50 states.
Many RWU grads also sit for the exam in Massachusetts and Connecticut, where the examiners set lower minimum passing scores, so it is not surprising that our rates are typically even higher there. In these key states the RWU pass rate regularly exceeds 80%, and the most recent results in those states are especially strong: 90% in Connecticut and 84% in Massachusetts. This is more evidence of how hard work by RWU students, plus teaching that is rigorous, but humane, is RWU’s recipe for professional success.
