A VP From RI?

In the quiet time before the conventions, political junkies are focusing on who the presumptive major party nominees will choose as their running mates.  On the Republican side, former Mass Governor Mitt Romney seems to have the inside track, while the speculation about Barack Obama’s choice remains wide-ranging.  One frequently mentioned possibility is US Senator Jack Reed (D-RI), a West Point graduate whose long service on the Armed Services Committee would burnish Obama’s relatively thin foreign policy credentials.  Click here to read a recent New York Times profile of Senator Reed.  In fact, Senator Reed is currently shoulder-to shoulder with Obama in his high profile trip to the Middle East this week. Senator Reed is also a great friend of Roger Williams University and especially the School of Law.  He spoke at the law school on US policy in the Middle East and has hosted law students in their annual trip to legal Washington.
