Thanksgiving Thoughts
This is the time of year when things around school get a little hectic. It’s that time just before the holidays, but more importantly, it’s those few weeks in law school that really, really matter: it’s exam time. As I sit at home and write this I can’t help but to start and feel a bit anxious about exams. Although they are still a few weeks away, exams seem to hang over everyone’s head, which is extremely hard during the Thanksgiving holiday when all you want to do is relax.
I have found some sense of comfort, however. Finally being in my third year, I have come to realize that the true key to success is preparation: the sooner you start outlining, the better off you are. So as I start my 3 day weekend, I also start outlining. And although I am not in full-on study mode, at least I can get ahead and relieve some of the ever-impending stress; it also makes it easier to take time off and enjoy being with my friends and family.
Thanksgiving is an appropriate time to reflect, not only one the past semester, but the last two and a half years. I have so much to be thankful for at RWU-the caring faculty, the extremely helpful staff, and the fellow students that make school so much fun.
