Having Fun

Well last night was the first time I have been out with my friends in a while. We all went down to The Bean in Bristol. It was great nothing is better than sharing a laugh over a drink and just unwinding from the day. I have been so busy lately that I did not realize what I was missing or how stressed I was. I just turns out that the Bean was the perfect medicine for all that was ailing me. We talked about everything from school, to sports, to crazy stories that we have all accumulated over the year. I laughed so hard it was great. At one point I felt like I was on a skit of “How I met your mother,” and we were each playing a vital role in the eclectic feeling of an old time pub like The Bean. Sometimes it is just what you need a nice drink and a place “where everybody knows your name.” I don’t know why, but there is just something about Bristol and its old time fishing town atmosphere that makes you feel at home and a part of a real community. By failing to hang out and burring myself in school and personal drama I have failed to recognize how important that sense of belonging is and how important a community like Bristol is on a day where you just need to kick your shoes off, put your feet up and have some good laughs and a lot of fun.
