Halloween

Well tonight started off one of my favorite times of the year. From Halloween until New Years there is nothing but a mixture of parties, family, dressing up, and studying. Yeah, it is crazy but I love it. There is nothing better than getting to dress up for the night and either be something that you are not or something that you hide every day. Being in law school is a very stressful time and there is nothing wrong with putting the stress aside for a night and letting go of everything that has pressing down on you all week. That is why this time of year is my favorite. I love getting caught up in the spirt of a holiday and the fun and craziness that makes a holiday what it is. This year I decided to be a vampire to kick off the season; nothing better to kick off the holiday of worshiping the dead and undead than becoming one of them for the night. I have to say that the party tonight was great, the costumes were clever and many were really well done. I can’t wait to see what the next parties bring.

I wish all of you the best in the coming months while you are trying to find the right balance between work and play. Remember this is a festive season, you don’t have to bury your head in a book and forget the spirt of the season. So go out have some fun - just do it in moderation.  What I always hate is remembering that I have to come back to reality and crack open the books :( But it will be worth it.
